Buy Wine from AT Roca
The AT Roca winery is located in the Costers d'Ordal region, a place that seeks to reflect the surrounding landscape through its wines. This winery was founded in 2012 by Agustí Torelló Sibill and his family with the aim of achieving the maximum expression of the Costers d'Ordal environment.
Agustí Torelló Sibill, with a rich family history in viticulture, has been a pillar in the world of sommelier, having worked as a consultant for several wineries and being a direct witness of the oenological evolution over the decades.
Vineyards
The environment of Costers d'Ordal is characterised by its diversity of calcareous soils formed more than 18 million years ago, rich in marine fossils. These soils, combined with the fresh sea breezes, create ideal conditions for wines with a high mineral expression.
The AT Roca vines are planted in these soils, expressing the most Mediterranean and mineral identity of the landscape. In addition, the influence of the Mediterranean brings humidity and freshness, especially to the Macabeo and Malvasia de Sitges varieties. The Els Gorgs estate, located between the Garraf and the Conca del riu Anoia, has calcareous and clay soils, being a transition point between the Macabeo and Xarel-lo terroirs.
Philosophy
The AT Roca winery is committed to organic and regenerative viticulture, following the principles of traditional Mediterranean dry-farmed viticulture.
Personalised vinification is essential for their wines, vinifying each plot separately to respect the uniqueness of each micro-landscape. They use spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and ageing in French oak barrels. In addition, the winery is eco-sustainable and energy efficient, making the most of rainwater and using photovoltaic panels.
AT Roca's philosophy focuses on expressing the terroir and making wines that accurately reflect the identity of their surroundings.
In March 2023, AT Roca inaugurated its new winery in Sant Sebastià dels Gorgs, a project that culminates a decade of effort and reflects its commitment to viticulture. This winery, located on a 12-hectare estate, is entirely sourced from its own estate and from four neighbouring winegrowers.
