Buy Delicate and fragrant wine
Delicate and fragrant rosés are wines that are characterized by their lightness, subtlety and visual and gustatory fragility. The faint pale salmon / onion skin coloration is due to the short cold maceration of dyed grape skins with wine must (barely a few hours), and sometimes using a slightly direct pressing method which is known as teardrop pinks.
These wines are known as claret, teardrop pinks, gray wine or oeil de perdrix. Some of them have a short aging in fudres of old oak, offering complexity and potential of storage. Despite the delicate nature of these rosé wines, the most healthy and mature vintages are used to obtain these wines, because they are extraordinarily complex and deep wines.
They are pink with dry style and fresh with a vertebral acidity. They are, complex with perfumes such as ripe red fruit, citrus oranges, grapefruit, spices, iodine, smoked and orange blossom. They are ideal for drinking at a temperature between 8 and-10ºC (46.4 and 50ºF) with blue fish, sushi, fishy rice, poultry, trapanese couscous and dishes with green curry.
The best specimens are found in France in the regions of Provence, Loire Valley and Languedoc with the varieties Syrah, Mourvèdre, Garnacha Gris, Cabernet Franc and Gamay.
