Buy Wine from Castillo de Perelada
Castillo de Perelada is synonymous of Empordà, of tradition and innovation, of magnificence but also of accessible wines. Castillo de Perelada is a vast project that in addition to wine exploitation includes casino, library, hotel, spa, museum and culture especially around the world of music.
Castillo de Perelada was founded in the second decade of the twentieth century, originally as a winery and as a tribute to the winemaking tradition of the area dating back to the fourteenth century; the Suqué (businessmen, politicians and collectors) have been the owners and patrons of the project, with a clear expansionist policy always with the clear objective of quality and international brand positioning.
The wineries of Castillo de Perelada are located in the north of Girona, almost bordering France, occupying different municipalities of the D.O. Empordà, from the coast at Cap de Creus to the pre-Pyrenean interior with an interesting and rich variety of soil types: slate on the coast and alluvial and granitic in the interior.
The climate of the area, with hot summers and mild winters, is characterized by the Tramontana, the strong wind that blows from the north and that marks both the personality of the vineyard and the character of the people.
Delfí Sanahuja, the winery's young winemaker, produces a wide range of wines that covers all audiences and budgets: from the popular Blanc Pescador, the powerful 5 Fincas, the parceled and structured Finca Malaveïna or its TOP Finca Garbet without forgetting some of its also omnipresent cavas such as Gran Claustro Gran Reserva Brut Nature.
Castillo de Perelada: the most aristocratic Empordà!
