Buy Wine from Bruno Giacosa
The Bruno Giacosa winery is located in the heart of Piedmont, specifically in the small town of Neive. This winery is synonymous with award-winning wines and crus from the Barolo and Barbaresco growing regions. Its foundation dates back to 1890, and its history is deeply rooted in the passion, wisdom and foresight of Bruno Giacosa, who brought together the work of three generations of winemakers and a long tradition of French-style businessmen.
This historic passion has been cultivated among the best vineyards of the Langhe, always in search of the best grapes to make exceptional wines. Bruno Giacosa passed away in early 2018 at the age of 89, but his legacy lives on thanks to his daughter Bruna, who shares the same passion and is supported by winemaker Dante Scaglione.Vineyards
Bruno Giacosa's vineyards cover a total of 20 hectares, located in the municipalities of Serralunga d'Alba, La Morra and Barbaresco. The terroir of these regions is known for its richness and diversity, which allows the production of high quality wines. Some of these vineyards, such as the renowned Azienda Agricola Falletto, have been owned by Bruno Giacosa since the 1980s, as well as the Barolo vineyards in Serralunga d'Alba and the renowned Cru vineyards in Barbaresco such as Asili and Rabajà.
Philosophy
Bruno Giacosa focuses on the belief that a great wine is born in the vineyard. Following this philosophy with unstoppable strength and passion, Bruno Giacosa has respected the rhythms of nature to the maximum, avoiding forced interventions and allowing the plant to grow in the best possible way. In the winery, Bruno has adopted a conservative oenology, aimed at respecting the work carried out in the vineyard as much as possible. His deep knowledge of the land and his extreme territorial adherence allowed him to create classic and unforgettable Nebbiolo wines. The wines of Azienda Agricola Falletto are all sourced from their own vineyards and vinified in their own cellars in Neive. The wines labelled "Casa Vinicola Bruno Giacosa" are made from grapes purchased from trusted historical suppliers.
