Description
Bodegas Viña Real (CVNE), made up of Bodegas Cune, Contino and Viña Real, has produced Viña Real Gran Reserva red wine.
This wine has been made from Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes. These grapes are selected from the best CVNE vineyards in the heart of La Rioja Alta.
The composition of the soils of these vineyards is clayey and calcareous.
It is an ideal red wine to accompany dishes such as meats and cheeses, among others.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and the grapes are selected on arrival at the winery. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. During this phase, pumping over, delestage and pigeage are alternated, which allows a good extraction of structure and colour.
The malolactic fermentation is carried out in French and American oak barrels, and the wine is stabilised and cleaned naturally by means of manual racking.
After ageing in barrels for approximately 2 years, the wine is bottled and aged for 36 months, during which time it reaches its characteristic elegance and smoothness.
Taste
Viña Real Gran Reserva is smooth on the palate and evolves towards an intense, structured and long-lasting finish, with high aromatic intensity.
