Buy Wine from John Almansa
John Almansa is a French winegrower, farmer and stockbreeder. He owns two hectares in Languedoc, Gard. He first received his training working in other wineries, until in 2015 he decided to become independent to make his own natural wine.
John Almansa's vineyard
His two hectares of vineyards are of the Cinsault grape, about 35 years old, spread over a few small plots of clay and limestone with alluvial gravel. In addition to making his wine, John also wanted to complement his other agricultural and livestock activities, sheep, honey and olive oil. Everything seems to work naturally and sustainably in the Almansa vineyard. After the harvest, the sheep graze in the vineyard; their whole process is done according to the biodynamic calendar, from organic farming to the typical tasks in the winery. Almansa conceives the countryside in a holistic way, and therefore, manages to create a beautiful synergy between the plant and animal kingdom.
Wines of John Almansa
All their wines are natural, bottled without fining, without filtering and without added sulphites. On the one hand, we can find the non-crianza white John Almansa Vertebral 2018, ideal for a dinner with friends, with Garnacha Gris, Muscat and Chasselas grapes. On the other hand, John Almansa Zou Maï 2017, a 100% Cinsault crianza red wine, fragrant and light, for a romantic dinner.
