The 2022 Viña Real Crianza was produced with 90% Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano that fermented destemmed in stainless steel and matured in French and American oak barrels for 13 to 14 months. It achieved 13.7% alcohol, has a pH of 3.55 and 5.4 grams of acidity. This is a champion in drinkability, with enough complexity and depth, and is balanced and polished. It's very enjoyable, quite fruit-driven and a bit vinous. A surprise for 2022. 650,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2025.

Description
Viña Real Crianza is an original red wine from the D.O.Ca. La Rioja. It has been produced by the Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España, the CVNE group, which is made up of the wineries Cune, Contino and Viña Real.
This red wine is a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo.
Viña Real Crianza is the ideal companion for dishes based on small game, red meats, or with rice and white meats, for example, a rice dish with rabbit or a rice dish with lamb a la Navarra. Delicious, believe us!
Elaboration
The grapes are harvested by hand and selected on arrival at the winery and subjected to the winemaking process.
The destemmed grapes are taken to temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, where alcoholic fermentation takes place.
After malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to French and American oak barrels where it remains for 13-14 months. During this time the wine acquires the balanced aroma with which it is recognised, as well as its finesse and overall expression.
The ageing of this wine is special, as it is carried out in the Viña Real barrel room.
Taste
Viña Real Crianza is structured, round and with a good balance between fruit and wood, with its fine tannin, excellent acidity and balance. A wine that with its ample qualities is pleasant in the mouth and has a pleasant persistence.
