The eponymous red 2022 Venus la Universal fermented with stems for seven to nine weeks in troncoconic oak vats from 2021 and aged for a very long time in large foudres and concrete, around 42 months. I found this to be a lot more Mediterranean, reflecting the warm and dry vintage, stony and chalky. It's a blend of 60% Cariñena and 40% Garnacha, but Cariñena dominates the blend here; it's a characterful grape. This year, it's a little rounder and has a gentler palate. 14,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2026.
