Description
Cepa 21 is a red wine made with Tempranillo grapes from Ribera del Duero, specifically from vineyards located in Castrillo de Duero. This wine reflects the winemaking tradition of the region with a modern and innovative approach. The vines grow on clay and sandy soils, which, together with the north and southeast orientation of the vineyards, provides optimal conditions for growing grapes.
Winemaking
The elaboration of Cepa 21 is meticulously carried out, starting with a controlled alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 18 days. Subsequently, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation for 30 days in tanks. Ageing is completed in new French oak barrels for 12 months to achieve greater complexity and elegance in the final wine.
Taste
Cepa 21 stands out for its cherry red colour with garnet edges, clean and bright. On the nose, it is expressive and elegant, combining aromas of ripe black fruit, sweet spices such as vanilla and cinnamon, and balsamic and toasted notes that reflect its time in oak. On the palate, Cepa 21 offers sweet tannins and a remarkable body, with balanced acidity and a long, lingering finish. Its structure, complexity and balance make it an ideal wine to enjoy on any occasion.
