Description
The red wine Braó, created by Acústic Celler, is an authentic expression of the winemaking traditions and wisdom of the Montsant region. This wine is the result of a careful selection of old vines, planted between the 30s and 40s, which have survived against all odds, offering a scarce fruit, but of exceptional singularity.
Braó combines 10% Garnacha, providing finesse and red fruit fragrance, with 90% Cariñena, which gives colour, structure and masculinity to the wine. These varieties come from poor, stony soils, with a mixture of clay, sand and pebbles, which contributes to the complexity and character of the wine.
Winemaking
Braó is a wine that deeply respects the grape and seeks the maximum expressiveness of the native varieties. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the grapes are selected both in the vineyard and on arrival at the winery. The maceration process lasts about 15 days, with numerous daily pigeages to respectfully extract all the colour and power of the fruit. After pressing in a small vertical wooden press, the wine is racked with its lees into barrels, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation. Ageing is carried out for 12 months in new and French oak barrels.
Taste
Braó is characterful and seductive. Visually, it has a bright cherry colour. On the nose, aromas of ripe fruit and sweet spices combine to create an expressive, complex and elegant profile. On the palate, the wine is savoury and fruity, with ripe tannins that give a sense of power, finesse and elegance. Depth and pleasure intertwine in this wine, offering an experience that balances seriousness with joy.
