18 days maceration with whole bunches of grapes. Free-run fermented with indigenous yeasts. Aged for 8 months in used French oak foudres. Bottled unfiltered, unfined and slightly sulphited.

Description

Philippe Brand is a winemaker from the Alsace region of France who continues the family tradition of viticulture that began in the 18th century. His winery, Brand et Fils, has been moving towards organic practices since the 1990s, establishing itself as a reference in natural winemaking.
Philippe Brand La Fleur au Fusil Macération is a blend of Riesling (80%) and Muscat Blanc (20%) from vineyards located on clay-limestone soils in the Westdorf area.

Winemaking

The peculiarity of Philippe Brand La Fleur au Fusil Macération lies in its 18-day maceration method with the skins, which gives it a unique structure and aromatic complexity. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, and ageing takes place for 12 months in oak barrels, respecting the principles of minimal intervention, which defines the style of the domaine.
