Description
Philippe Brand Fleurs Macération is a biodynamic wine produced in Alsace, France, by the Brand & Fils winery. This wine is made exclusively from Pinot Gris grapes. The vineyards are located in the Kefferberg, a privileged area due to its clay-limestone soils, which gives a special minerality to the wine.
Winemaking
The winery follows biodynamic practices, which means that no sulphites are added and no filtration is carried out in the process. This wine stands out for being a"maceration wine", where the must ferments in contact with the grape skins, giving it greater structure and complexity. Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts and ageing takes place for 8 months in vats and barrels, respecting the philosophy of natural wines.
Taste
On the palate, this wine surprises with its tannic structure and its great aromatic intensity. Predominant notes of red fruits such as raspberry and strawberry are perceived, accompanied by citrus and floral touches that bring freshness. The finish is long and vibrant, with a balanced acidity reminiscent of fermented beverages such as kombucha. With only 1 g/l of residual sugar, this wine remains dry and expressive, ideal for pairing with white meats and fish dishes.
