Description
When you uncork a bottle of Eidos Ermos Tinto, you don't just open a wine. You awaken a piece of Galicia, with its Atlantic breeze, its steep hillsides and its centuries-old soul. Behind this marvel is Luis A. Rodríguez Vázquez, a true guardian of the Ribeiro winemaking tradition.
This red wine is a tribute to the indigenous varieties, a symphony of Caiño Redondo, Caiño Longo, Brancellao, Sousón and Ferrol. Each grape brings its own character: freshness, structure, intensity... as if they were different instruments playing the same melody. And all this is born in Arnoia, a corner of steep, sun-drenched vineyards, set on granitic soils that give it that special mineral stamp.
Winemaking
And in the winery? No artifice. The grapes are harvested by hand, with the same respect with which one treats a good friend. Then, a 15-day maceration allows the wine to absorb all those deep aromas and flavours. It ferments with its own yeasts in stainless steel tanks and then rests for 12 months in used French oak barrels. Unclarified and unfiltered, so that each sip is a pure reflection of its soil.
Taste
From the first sip, Eidos Ermos Tinto is pure life. The red fruit overflows, with a vibrant acidity that makes it fresh and addictive. Then, those floral and mineral notes appear, almost like an echo of the Ribeiro mountains.
Its juicy body and well-integrated tannins make each sip flow with elegance. It's not an imposing wine, but rather a long after-dinner companion, the kind of wine that leaves you thinking, " What about another glass? "
