Description
The Danjou Banessy Les Myrs wine is a red wine made from 100% Carignan, a local grape variety, rescued by the brothers Sébastien and Benoît.
The grapes have been cultivated under biodynamic agriculture techniques, ensuring that the grapes can express themselves naturally, without the need for chemical additives.
It is a red wine that denotes in its taste the particularity of the fruit's treatment, and elegance in each sip. For many experts, it is defined as a light wine, not very warm, but with a very balanced acidity.
Winemaking
The wine Danjou Banessy Les Myrs is a red wine made with the black Carignan grape variety, coming from vineyards more than 80 years old, with soils known as Tierra Negra.
When the fruit has reached its optimum level of ripeness, it is harvested using artisanal techniques, also carrying out a parcel work according to the lunar phase. This is to ensure that it has the right flavour and texture to proceed to the pressing phase.
After that, the must is fermented with indigenous yeasts and then aged in oak barrels for a period of at least 15 months. Afterwards, it is bottled without filtering or chemical additives.
Taste
The Danjou Banessy Les Myrs wine denotes an intense aroma of ripe red fruits and a subtle acid touch. The palate has a velvety texture with a long lingering finish and a very balanced level of acidity.
