Description
Condado de Haza Crianza is an oenological gem that captures the essence of Ribera del Duero. Made by the prestigious Fernández Rivera Family, this wine reflects decades of winemaking tradition and passion. It is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes, grown in their own vineyards located in the municipalities of Roa and La Horra, at an altitude of approximately 800 metres. These vineyards, which cover some 160 hectares, are located on heterogeneous soils with a predominance of clay and sand, characteristics that give the wine its unique personality.
Winemaking
The grapes for Condado de Haza Crianza are harvested by hand, meticulously selecting the grapes at their optimum ripeness. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks, following traditional methods that respect the integrity of the fruit. Subsequently, the wine is aged for a minimum of 12 months in American oak barrels, which gives it distinctive notes and a balanced structure. Before being marketed, it rests in the bottle until it reaches the desired harmony.
Taste
Condado de Haza Crianza has a purplish red colour, clean and bright. On the nose, it displays a high aromatic intensity, with a predominance of fresh black fruits and subtle notes of liquorice, characteristic of Tempranillo. The ageing in oak contributes roasted aromas, smoky touches and toasted nuances that enrich its complexity. On the palate, it offers a fruity and fresh entry, with perfectly integrated acidity and persistent tannins that fill the palate. The aftertaste maintains the presence of black fruit, with blackberry standing out, while the wood is well integrated, with smoky and vanilla notes that add personality and a medium-high persistence.
Condado de Haza Crianza is ideal to accompany rice dishes, white and red meats, lamb and suckling pig, enhancing the gastronomic experience with its character and elegance.
