The red 2022 El Templari was produced with Morenillo grapes from organically farmed vines planted 24 years ago on limestone soils. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and matured in amphorae for eight months. It has a perfumed nose that is characterful and different, with a touch of wild herbs, high-pitched and attractive. It has a medium-bodied palate with contained ripeness and alcohol (12.5%), very fine tannins and clean, long-lasting flavors. 5,623 bottles were filled in July 2023.

Description
The Bàrbara Forés El Templari wine is produced on the La Obaga de Tomaset estate, located under the limestone formations of the Pàndols mountain range. This red wine is produced with the Morenillo grape variety, a long-cycle grape variety that had almost disappeared and whose recovery began in the late 1990s.
Winemaking
Bàrbara Forés El Templari is harvested in mid-September. The winemaking process includes maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks and earthenware jars for 14 to 18 days, using indigenous yeasts. Aging is carried out in earthenware jars for 8 months.
Taste
The taste of Bàrbara Forés El Templari is a singular experience. At first contact, a notable acidity is perceived, which softens with time, revealing a complexity of flavours. The nose presents aromas of well-ripened fruit, evoking intense jam. On the palate, the wine starts with a "greener" profile that gradually transforms, offering a slight bitterness on the finish. This combination of notes gives the wine a distinctive character, although some feel that it could still improve with time to develop a more harmonious balance between its components.
