Description
Bertha Siglo XXI Brut Nature is a sparkling wine made from 40% Macabeo, 40% Xarel.lo, 15% Chardonnay and 5% Parellada, by the Bertha winery in the region of Catalonia.
This wine is characterised by following the traditional champenoise method in its production, which means that its second fermentation, ageing and release to the market all take place in the same bottle, allowing the bubbles to form naturally!
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand. On arrival at the winery, the grapes are lightly crushed and left to macerate for a period of about 12 hours before fermentation, so that the must is in contact with the skins and aromatic concentration is achieved.
At the end of these processes, the wine is bottled for a second fermentation in the bottle, as required by the DO Cava canons, for a minimum of 42 months of ageing in the bottle with its lees. The wine is made using the traditional method and is aged for a long time in the bottle!
Taste
It is a wine with an intense and extensive aromatic range, with floral and fruity aromas. In the mouth it is fresh, unctuous and elegant. It is also subtle, fine and very well integrated with a long-lasting and original aftertaste.
