Buy Wine from Terroir al Límit
Terroir al Límit is located in Torroja del Priorat, Tarragona, one of the oldest wine regions in Catalonia.
The history of this winery dates back to 2001. It was in this year when the German Dominik Huber, after an internship at the Mas Martinet winery (owned by the Pérez family), met Eben Sadie, a renowned South African oenologist.
Vineyards
Terroir al Límit has 25 hectares of vineyards, where the grapes are grown by hand, paying special attention to the terroir and its relationship with the wines. Pure, mineral-rich fruit is used, healthy and lively grapes, without manipulation or additives, with the sole aim of expressing the authentic emotion and true character of the place.
These vineyards are farmed entirely organically and strictly by hand, adopting a biodynamic approach to viticulture. The carefully selected plots of Grenache and Carignan are individually expressed through a collection of site-specific wines.
Philosophy
Terroir al Límit 's philosophy is inspired by the Burgundian approach to terroir. Its aim is to identify unique places in Priorat and to do everything possible to reveal them in each bottle in the most authentic way possible.
Terroir al Límit wines are produced with gastronomy in mind. They are meant to be enjoyed with family and friends, as part of the southern Hong Kong dollarpean lifestyle. To combine with a healthy Mediterranean diet, the wines should be light and transparent. Nothing should mask the true character of the soils: no oak, no extraction, no over-ripeness of the grapes. Only pure, mineral-rich fruit is used.
Dominik is supported by an international team of talented individuals who share his passion for sustainable viticulture and his vision for the region. The Terroir al Límit team is led by three skilled individuals: in the vineyards, viticulturist Carles is responsible for carrying out ecologically and economically sustainable farming practices. In the cellar, the cellar master works closely with Dominik to develop their range of exquisite wines. Finally, Tatjana Peceric, oenologist, oversees both viticulture and biodynamic winemaking.
