L'Enclòs de Peralba, a wine project with deep roots in tradition and innovation, is located in the heart of the Penedés wine region in Catalonia, Spain. Founded in 2017 by cousins Leo and Roc Gramona, descendants of the renowned Penedés Gramona sparkling wine dynasty, this winery represents the fusion of ancestral expertise with a modern, sustainable approach to viticulture.

Leo Gramona, trained as an engineer and with experience in corporate consultancy, and Roc Gramona, who followed in his father's footsteps in viticulture and specialised in pruning techniques and management at the Catalan School of Pruning, decided to embark on their own path in the world of wine. Their vision was clear: to work with native varieties from the Penedès, taking advantage of family vineyards and others selected for their potential in the region. This approach has allowed them to vindicate the Penedès wine identity, beyond its fame for sparkling wines.

Vineyards

The vineyards of L'Enclòs de Peralba extend over calcareous-clay soils, characteristic of the hills of Sant Sadurní in Alt Penedès. The winery manages approximately 7 hectares of vineyards, located at altitudes ranging from 200 to 550 metres above sea level. These plots, with vines ranging in age from 7 to 80 years old, are home to varieties such as Garnacha Blanca, Malvasía de Sitges, Macabeu, Xarel.lo and Garnacha Negra.
The Penedès is a region with a great diversity of terroirs, from Mediterranean coastal vineyards to steep slopes in the Montserrat valley. This variety of soils and microclimates allows L'Enclòs de Peralba to produce wines that faithfully express the unique character of each plot.

Philosophy
