The organic Villa Bucci 2018 Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva Classico Villa Bucci (with 23,000 bottles released) starts off in stainless steel but ends its winemaking phase in neutral oak casks. This extra step serves to give more volume and texture to a wine that is redolent of stone fruit, grapefruit, papaya, exotic saffron and dried ginger.

Description
Located in the heart of Italy's Le Marche region, Villa Bucci Verdicchio Castelli di Jesi Riserva is a testament to the dedication and tradition of the Bucci family, who have carefully cultivated their vineyards for over three centuries. This wine is made exclusively from Verdicchio, one of Italy's most representative white varieties, and is an authentic expression of its terroir.
The vineyards, located at an altitude between 200 and 300 metres above sea level, benefit from a Mediterranean climate with marked temperature differences between day and night, ideal for the development of complex aromas. The soils, rich in clay and limestone, give the wine a characteristic freshness and minerality. The vines, many of which are more than 50 years old, are cared for using environmentally friendly methods, preserving the biodiversity of the surroundings.
Winemaking
Villa Bucci Verdicchio Castelli di Jesi Riserva is fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, ranging from 16 to 18 °C, to preserve the purity and aromatic potential of the fruit. It is then aged for 12 to 18 months in large Slovenian oak barrels, with a capacity of 50 hectolitres, where it acquires depth, structure and a refined texture without overloading the wine's profile. This ageing process is carried out under strict temperature and humidity controls to guarantee a homogeneous evolution. Finally, a long ageing in the bottle, which can last up to 12 months, rounds and harmonises its profile, giving it its characteristic balance and elegance.

Villa Bucci Verdicchio Riserva is a wine that seduces the palate with its perfect balance between freshness, complexity and an enveloping texture. On the nose, it displays an array of aromas ranging from green apple and white flowers to riper notes of almond and honey. On the palate, vibrant acidity combines with elegant minerality, leaving a long, lingering finish with subtle hints of citrus and spice. It is the perfect companion to fish dishes, seafood and aged cheeses.
