Description
UBE Maína La Charanga is a wine that represents a sublime synthesis of tradition and uniqueness. Produced by Cota 45 in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cádiz, Andalusia, this wine is a tribute to the region's rich winemaking history. Made exclusively from Listán(Palomino) grapes from the La Charanga vineyard, located on the Maína estate, this vineyard is distinguished by its albariza de barajuelas, a soil rich in clay and marine fossils that gives the grapes a muscular structure and delicious salinity.
Winemaking
The winemaking process is meticulous and respectful of tradition. The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed in whole bunches in old barrels, where the must ferments spontaneously without temperature control. After racking, the wine ages in the same butts for 2-3 years, maturing under flor for part of that time, which contributes to its complexity and character. Production is limited to 1000 bottles, which further accentuates its exclusivity.
Taste
In the glass, UBE Maína La Charanga has a pale yellow colour, clean and bright. The nose is intense, with notes of dried flowers, herbaceous nuances, yeasts and dates that clearly evoke its terroir. When tasted, the wine is light, oily and fresh. Its palate reveals a well-defined structure and a sapid finish that highlights the uniqueness of this wine from the land of Cádiz. The experience culminates in a lingering aftertaste, inviting you to explore every nuance this wine has to offer.
