Description
In the Gard, south of the Rhône, lies Domaine du Petit Oratoire, a winery that embodies passion and respect for the land. Founded in 2016 by Lori Haon, who, at the tender age of 23, acquired 15 hectares of abandoned vineyards in Valliguières. With dedication and a clear vision, Lori rescued century-old Cariñena and Garnacha vines, cultivating them under organic and biodynamic principles, obtaining Demeter certification. His vineyards, located on deep clay soils with limestone base, enjoy a unique microclimate, influenced by a small stream and surrounding mountains, which bring freshness and uniqueness to his wines.
Winemaking
Le Petit Oratoire En Attendant Les Copains is a celebration of tradition and innovation. This red wine is made from a harmonious blend of Cinsault, Cinsault, Syrah and Cariñena, emblematic varieties of the region. The grapes are harvested by hand, meticulously selecting the bunches at their optimum ripeness. The whole grapes are deposited in concrete tanks, where part of the grapes are pressed directly to initiate a gentle infusion of 10 days. Fermentation is spontaneous, carried out by indigenous yeasts, without the addition of sulphites, clarification or filtering, preserving the purity and vitality of the wine.
