Description
La Grange de l'Oncle Charles La Danse des Corbeaux is a wine that encapsulates the essence of the winemaking tradition of Riquewihr, a region known for its rich history of wine production. This wine is a masterful blend of classic varieties, co-fermented to create a unique and distinctive profile. It includes Riesling, Sylvaner, Chasselas, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Gris, grown on marl and sandstone soils. The vines selected for this blend are between 50 and 90 years old, bringing exceptional complexity and depth to the wine.
Winemaking
The winemaking of this wine is a carefully orchestrated process. The musts are vinified on full lees in barrels for one year. This method of vinification gives the wine a distinctive texture and character. In addition, it is bottled without fining and without the addition of SO2, resulting in a deep golden yellow, slightly cloudy wine.

La Grange de l'Oncle Charles La Danse des Corbeaux opens with an intensely aromatic, yet fresh and pure profile, with precise, stony notes. The flavour palette includes a variety of citrus, yellow plums, smoked speck, crushed stones and earthy notes, as well as black tea and leaves. This aromatic profile is pure and refreshing, but also substantial and full of character. On the palate, the wine is round and lovely, yet dry, with sustained aromas of tea, making it a medium to full Riquewihr white wine, intensely intense yet delicate and elegant. It has texture, density and lively mineral acidity. The finish is dry, with fine, spicy tannins and noble bitterness, seriousness of grip and salinity. At 13.5% ABV and natural cork, this wine is an authentic expression of its terroir and artisanal winemaking practices.
