Based on the 2021 vintage, with the remainder from 2020, and disgorged in September 2024, Lagille’s NV Grande Réserve was sourced from several parcels in Treslon and vinified predominantly in barrels (70%), with the rest matured in stainless steel. Comprising equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, it opens with aromas of honey, yellow apple and quince. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and vinous, with a core of rich, sweet fruit underpinned by vibrant acidity, complemented by a fine, pinpoint mousse and a well-defined finish.

Description
The Grande Réserve Brut wine is defined by its winemakers as 'the father's cuvée'. And this was his favourite.
It is the only blended cuvée in the estate's range, so as well as being traditional, it combines structure and finesse with the tension and representativeness of the Treslon terroir.
The house, located in Tres L'on, is steeped in history and tradition; the family has been tending, growing and working since the mid-17th century. For siblings Vincent and Maud, the value of tradition and the expression of their terroir in each sparkling wine is very important and, of course, what they want to pass on to them.
Winemaking
The winemaking process starts with a "coupage" with two harvests in different years, and a manual and traditional selection of each cluster. Then, it undergoes a malolactic fermentation to continue with the ageing process, which is carried out for 6 to 7 years. Finally, it is bottled.
Taste
Grande Réserve Brut has a deep, intense golden colour with fine, languid bubbles. It has an aroma of fresh white fruits, delicate suggestions of citrus fruits, with long hints of brioche, tea and peonies. It also has fresh and energetic flavour nuances with fruity hints that make it very digestible.
Ideal for pairing with sea bream and citrus ceviche, red tuna tataki with sesame, or with a simple aperitif.
Champagne Pearl
The Grande Réserve wine is one of Champagne's undiscovered pearls, with a perfect blend of equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier. It rests peacefully for 6 to 7 years to produce a light, fresh and energetic sparkling wine. Initially citrusy and fruity, then giving way to subtle notes of tea, it is without a doubt a delicacy.
