Founded by Maurizio Zanella, who transformed a cottage in the woods into a temple of Italian sparkling wine, the winery has made Ca' del Bosco Vintage Collection Satèn its most ethereal expression. A wine born of silence, finesse and patience.
Ca' del Bosco Vintage Collection Satèn is made from 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Bianco, from vineyards with more than two decades of history located in Erbusco, Passirano and other iconic locations of the appellation.
Winemaking
Ca' del Bosco Vintage Collection Satèn is produced under the exclusive Ca' del Bosco method, which begins with a manual harvest and a meticulous, one-of-a-kind cluster cleaning process. Fermentation takes place in small oak barrels for five months, followed by ageing on the lees for 48 months. Disgorging is carried out without oxygen, avoiding the need for added sulphites. With a minimum dosage (0.5 g/l), a Brut expression of maximum precision is achieved.
Flavour
The result is a Ca' del Bosco Vintage Collection Satèn with very fine, elegant and persistent bubbles. On the nose, it offers a symphony of white flowers, fresh almond, candied citrus and toasted bread, wrapped in a chalky-limestone minerality. The palate is creamy, with a silky texture that caresses the palate. The well-integrated acidity gives balance and verticality. Notes of ripe pear, candied lemon and a long, clean, saline finish. A subtle and refined sparkling wine, ideal for those seeking quiet elegance and complexity without stridency.
