Description
Barranco Oscuro Vino Costa is an exceptional wine from the region of La Contraviesa, in Granada, Spain. This rosé wine stands out for its diversity of grape varieties, including Garnacha, Tempranillo, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Syrah, Montúa, Sauvignon Blanc, among others. The grapes are grown at altitudes ranging from 1280 to 1368 metres above sea level, in lean, stony soils composed of schist and clay, which gives the wine a mineral complexity.
Winemaking
Barranco Oscuro Vino Costa is made in an environmentally friendly way, following organic practices, although without official certification. Each grape variety is harvested separately, completely destemmed and pressed immediately. Fermentation takes place spontaneously and the wine is aged in tanks. No fining agents are used, and the wine is lightly filtered before bottling in June. It should be noted that this wine contains no additives, thus preserving its natural purity.
Taste
Barranco Oscuro Vino Costa is an explosion of vibrant and complex notes. On the nose, aromas of wild strawberry, ripe raspberry, redcurrant and cherry, accompanied by a touch of dried flowers, grenadine and leather. On the palate, this wine is smooth, light and very pleasant, with a marked acidity that adds freshness and a slight bitterness that adds depth. It is a wine that evolves beautifully after opening, revealing additional layers of flavour and complexity.
