Description
Barranco Oscuro Tres Uves is an exceptional white wine from the region of La Contraviesa in Granada, Spain. This wine is a carefully crafted blend of three grape varieties: Vigiriega, Vermentino and Viognier. The vines grow at an altitude of between 1280 and 1368 metres above sea level, in poor, stony soils composed of schist and clay. This unique environment and the practice of organic viticulture, although not certified, contribute to the uniqueness of the wine.
Winemaking
The production of Tres Uves involves a manual harvest with destemming of the grapes followed by direct pressing. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in stainless steel tanks without temperature control, taking advantage of the coolness of the cellars. The wine is then aged for a year in used oak barrels, which adds complexity without dominating the fresh nuances of the fruit. It is not clarified and undergoes light filtration before bottling.

Barranco Oscuro Tres Uves stands out for its complex and powerful aromatic profile. On the nose, very marked spicy notes are perceived, including hints of black pepper and a smoky touch that make it unmistakable.
