Description
Champagne André Beaufort Ambonnay Grand Cru Brut Nature Millésime is a sparkling wine made under the rigorous principles of biodynamic and organic farming, maintaining a focus on purity and respect for the environment. This cuvée is composed of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, sourced from vineyards located in the prestigious Grand Cru of Ambonnay, one of the most valued regions of Champagne. The soil in the area is predominantly chalky, which gives the wine minerality and structure. The vineyards have been cultivated without chemical products since 1969, in line with the winery's natural philosophy.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by gentle pressing and spontaneous fermentation in steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. The second fermentation is carried out using the champenoise method, and the wine is aged on its lees for at least 72 months, which gives it complexity and depth. This champagne is bottled without the addition of sulphites.
Taste
André Beaufort Ambonnay Grand Cru Brut Nature Millésime has a complex and refined aromatic profile. On the nose, it offers notes of yellow fruits and bread crust, with a spicy and floral touch that makes it very attractive. On the palate, it is an intense, creamy wine with an enveloping texture and a marked minerality and freshness, leading to a long, saline finish that invites further tasting. It is an ideal champagne to pair with fish, seafood or even more complex dishes, such as white meats or refined aperitifs.
