Description

Andréa Calek Ceci n'est pas une Blonde is an ancestral natural sparkling wine from the renowned producer Andréa Calek, who together with Stefana Nicolescu has developed a unique approach to natural winemaking in the Ardèche region of France. This cuvée is composed mostly of Grenache (90%) and 10% Syrah, sourced from organic vineyards located on clay and limestone soils. The vineyards, cultivated without chemical products, are managed in a sustainable manner, emphasising respect for the natural environment.

Winemaking

Vinification is completely natural, without the addition of sulphites, with spontaneous fermentation in tanks and bottling with residual sugar to generate effervescence in the bottle. The wine is aged on the lees for over a year and disgorged without filtration.

Taste

On the nose, Ceci n'est pas une Blonde offers vibrant notes of pear, hazelnut and white flowers. On the palate, it has fine, lively bubbles, with a remarkable freshness that makes it ideal for sharing at celebrations. Flavours of green citrus and a hint of candied lemon are complemented by a pleasant minerality, for a long, refreshing finish. This wine is perfect to enjoy as an aperitif or with light dishes such as ceviche or grilled fish.
