Description
Alain Graillot Crozes-Hermitage Blanc is made in the renowned Rhone Valley region. This white wine is a blend of traditional varieties of the region, composed of approximately 80% Marsanne and 20% Roussanne.
Winemaking
After harvesting, the grapes are pressed immediately upon arrival at the winery. Once the must has settled, about 50% is fermented in oak barrels (from renowned Burgundy producers such as Etienne Sauzet) that are one year old. The other 50% of the must undergoes extended fermentation in stainless steel tanks. A distinctive feature of this wine is that it avoids malolactic fermentation in order to preserve its characteristic acidity and freshness.
Taste
Alain Graillot Crozes-Hermitage Blanc is a wine that stands out for its balance and texture. Apricot, peach and floral notes are present in every sip, providing a unique sensory experience. The texture is described as chewy, with stone fruits that are palatable. The acidity is just right, allowing the wine to flow harmoniously and can be enjoyed on its own or with food.
