The 2022 Espadeiro is from a year that they consider exceptional for reds, as the very warm temperatures meant the grapes ripened thoroughly, and this wine reached 12% alcohol. It's very balsamic, with notes of eucalyptus, bay leaf, nutmeg and black pepper. It has a medium-bodied palate with silky tannins. Some 1,000 bottles were produced from one 500-liter barrel and one 225-liter barrel. It was bottled in September 2023.
