Description
Vino di Anna Bianco G is an authentic and vibrant expression of the Sicilian vineyards, specifically the northern slopes of Mount Etna. This wine stands out for its medium paglierino colour and attractive aromas of lime, lemons and white peach.
This wine is made mainly from organically grown indigenous white grapes, with Grecanico being its main component at 70%. These grapes come from several small vineyards located on the north face of Mount Etna. The grapes are harvested by hand from these ancient vineyards during the third week of September. The average age of the vines is 80 years and they are located at altitudes varying between 800 and 1100 metres above sea level. The soils are basaltic; dark grey, sandy and rocky, with a high mineral content.
Elaboration
In terms of winemaking and ageing, most of the Grecanico, including a large proportion of Grecanico Dorato, was macerated for a week on skins and crushed several times. The rest of the grapes, a blend of indigenous varieties(Carricante, Minnella Bianca, Insolia), were whole bunch pressed in an old 2,000-litre wooden barrel. Fermentation was spontaneous with no temperature control. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation and was left on fine lees for 12 months before bottling in December without fining or filtering.

Vino di Anna Bianco G offers a dry palate with ripe citrus flavours, accompanied by lively acidity and good length on the palate. What really distinguishes this wine is its underlying minerality and sapidity, intrinsic characteristics of grapes grown in volcanic soils. This combination of flavours and aromas makes it an exceptionally balanced and refreshing wine, ideal to accompany a variety of dishes and occasions.
