The village red 2023 Valtuille Vino de Villa comes from sandy soils on closer plots. This year, it's 85% Mencía, 10% Alicante Bouschet and 5% other white and red varieties like Bastardo, Sousón or Estaladiña. It fermented with some full clusters in 1,000-liter vessels and matured in 500-liter barrels. It's juicy, round, harmonious and fruit-driven, with freshness and elegance. It has a moderate 12.55% alcohol, a pH of 3.51 and 5.42 grams of acidity. 6,890 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2025.

Description
César Márquez is a winemaker who, despite his young age, has positioned himself very well among others with longer careers. His influences are world-renowned, as his main support comes from his uncle Raúl Pérez, while in general, his family has been involved in the viticulture business for many years.
The Valtuille wine from the César Márquez winery is a natural dry red wine, very elegant and seductive, perfect to accompany game or poultry.
Winemaking
The César Márquez Valtuille wine is a Villa wine made with Mencía and Alicante Bouschet grapes, coming from centenary vines cultivated in clay and sandy soils of Bierzo, under ecological methods respectful with the environment.
The grapes are harvested by hand, selecting the best grapes, which are microvinified with a stemmer. The macerations are long, between one month and 40 days.
Then spontaneous fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, and finally the wine is aged for a year in aged French oak barrels.
Taste
The natural wine César Márquez Valtuille has a beautiful and striking bright cherry red colour. It is a fresh and elegant red wine, which has red fruit flavours, floral and ripe fruit aromas, as well as spicy notes.
It is a dry, fragrant organic wine that has a marked acidity, but with great balance. In the mouth it feels light, with velvety tannins that reflect very well the terroir of the region.
A subtle, refined and seductive wine.
The organic red wine Valtuille produced at the César Márquez winery, is ideal to serve at 16°C with mushrooms, risotto, game meats such as deer or venison, as well as poultry and veal.
