Description
Clos Kixhaya Le Clos comes from a 5 hectare plot completely surrounded by walls in Chinon. This wine is rooted in a Varennes terroir, characterised by the sedimentary alluvium of the Vienne River.
Winemaking
It all starts with a spontaneous fermentation process with indigenous yeasts and 40 days of maceration, carried out with an "infusion" technique that guarantees the smoothness and preservation of aromas and flavours. After this process, the wine is aged for 12 months in barrels, which gives it an ageing process that enhances its characteristics. It is important to note that this is a natural wine, i.e. a natural wine without additives or chemicals.
Taste
Clos Kixhaya Le Clos is a wine that, at first sight, may seem discreet, with an aroma that takes time to reveal itself. However, once opened, it unfolds a complexity that surprises and captivates. Fruity notes predominate, especially of red fruits that evoke candied fruit, but there are also floral nuances that are reflected in both the aroma and the flavour. When tasted, it becomes a play of textures and aromas that seduce the palate. In addition to the fruity and floral notes, hints of undergrowth and mushrooms can be identified, giving it a deep, earthy character.
