Torre La Moreira is one of those Albariños that speaks directly to the palate, combining freshness, balance and an authentic expression of the Rías Baixas. It is made by Bodegas Marqués de Vizhoja, a family winery with a legacy of passion for the vineyard, which has made this wine a benchmark for lovers of good white wine.
We are talking about a 100% Albariño, born in Finca La Moreira, in the heart of Condado do Tea. Vineyards that are nourished by mineral-rich soils and an Atlantic climate that gives slow ripening, enhancing the vibrant acidity and fruity character that we like so much about this grape.
Winemaking
The winemaking of Torre La Moreira is an art in itself. The grapes are harvested by hand, taking care of each cluster, and a part of the must is separated from the flower, while another part macerates with the skins in cold for 24 hours. The result? An Albariño that is not only fresh, but also complex and expressive, with all the personality of its land.
Taste
From the first glance, its straw yellow with greenish glints announces that this is a wine full of life. Come close and smell: apple, pear, a subtle hint of aromatic herbs... almost as if you were strolling through a fresh fruit market on a spring morning.
Torre La Moreira is a delight on the palate. Sweet, frank and smooth, with that fruity touch that makes it so appetising. The acidity is just right, providing freshness and a persistent finish that invites you to keep drinking.
This Albariño is a real wild card when it comes to pairing: it goes wonderfully with seafood, fish and even white meats. If you serve it at 8-10 degrees, you will enhance all its expressiveness. It also has a special detail: its label includes Braille, a gesture of the winery towards inclusion and accessibility.
