Description
Muster Gelber Muskateller Vom Opok is an authentic representation of winemaking tradition and winemaking innovation. Produced from the Gelber Muskateller variety, this wine is a reflection of the richness of the terroir where it is grown. The vines, which are 20 years old, are rooted in a soil called Opok, composed of limestone and clayey silt, which gives the wine its unique characteristics.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed and gently pressed. Fermentation is carried out in 2,400 litre oval wooden vats, using the wine's own indigenous yeasts. After this process, the wine matures for approximately 20 months in neutral toasted oak vats. It is bottled without fining or filtering, and no sulphur is added, thus preserving its purest essence.
Taste
Muster Gelber Muskateller Vom Opok is an explosion of freshness and authenticity on the palate. It is spicy on the nose, but surprisingly fresh on the palate. Its exotic flavours and low alcohol content make it especially irresistible. On the palate, it has an unparalleled brightness and freshness. The nose is incredibly fresh, with notes of green apple, lush green nature, minerals and a sense of purity. The taste is refreshing and revitalising, evoking the sensation of spring water. It has high acidity, with predominant green apple flavours and a distinct saline minerality.
