The spicy and showy 2023 Kalamity White was produced with the white varieties—Viura, Calagraño, Torrontés, Malvasía Riojana, Maturana Blanca and Garnacha Blanca—that are interplanted with the reds used to produce the original Kalamity red. It has contained ripeness, 13.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.4 with a bone dry and chalky finish. This is still too young and oaky, marked by the élevage in 600-liter oak barrels for 10 months in a Burgundian way, leesy and smoky, with white fruit, pollen and spicy notes. It has a medium-bodied palate with pristine flavors, vibrant and tasty. One to keep. 3,100 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2024.
