Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The first wine to be certified organic is the 2020 Corimbo, from a vintage that is riper and has more alcohol, and it shows more rusticity than the 2019 I tasted next to it. It has 14.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.7. It has some spiciness from the barrels, which should integrate with some more time in bottle. 76,920 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2022.

Description
Corimbo is an iconic red wine from Bodegas La Horra, reflecting the essence of the Ribera del Duero DO. This wine is made from 100% Tinta del País ( Tempranillo), from organic vineyards that provide a distinctive character and respect for the environment. The plots are located in La Horra and Roa de Duero, in the province of Burgos, and the vines, planted in gobelet and without irrigation, are on average 25 to 30 years old. The soils of the area, rich in limestone, give the wine a remarkable minerality and freshness.
Winemaking
The elaboration of Corimbo follows a careful and precise process. The grapes are harvested by hand to select the best bunches. After the harvest, the must undergoes spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, which allows the purity of the grapes to be maintained. Malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak vats, enhancing the smoothness and complexity of the wine. Subsequently, Corimbo ages for 14 months in barrels, combining French (80%) and American (20%) oak, achieving an impeccable blend that does not mask the primary aromas of the fruit. Stabilisation is natural and clarification is carried out with egg albumin, ensuring a pure and elegant product.
Taste
Corimbo' s character is reflected in its impeccable presentation. Its colour is medium-high robe, with a dark red background and a bright red rim. On the nose, it displays a complex intensity that blends aromas of red fruits such as cherries and blackberries with hints of aromatic herbs and a distinctive mineral touch. The presence of wood is discreet and subtle, achieving a perfect balance.
On the palate, it is voluminous and silky, highlighting the freshness and elegance of its well-integrated tannins. The texture of the wine is smooth and leaves a lingering sensation, with notes of fruit and a balsamic background reminiscent of the riverside landscape. The minerality, provided by the chalky soils, adds depth and complexity to the whole. Corimbo is an ideal wine to pair with grilled meats, traditional stews and dishes of intense flavour, recommended to be served at 16 ºC to appreciate all its richness.
In short, Corimbo is a sophisticated expression of Ribera del Duero, a wine that captures the essence of terroir and oenological mastery, perfect for lovers of good wine and those seeking an unforgettable sensory experience.
