The regular 2021 Cien Lanzas is similar to the one from tinaja but fermented and matured in a combination of concrete and oak vats with full clusters at different times because the plots were harvested at different times, between September 9 and 29. The élevage was one year in a 4,800-liter oak foudre and a further five months in vat and 500-liter barrels. It has good ripeness and development of aromas and flavors, 14% alcohol while keeping the poise and balance with a pH of 3.39 and 5.45 grams of acidity. It has a combination of elegance and rusticity but with very good balance between fruit and soil. It's aromatic, with notes of violets and wild herbs, and it has an ethereal side and a solid palate with abundant, fine-grained tannins. This has to be the finest vintage of this bottling. 7,340 bottles and 18 magnums produced. It was bottled in June 2023.

Description
The wine 4 Monos Cien Lanzas, from the Denominación de Origen Vinos de Madrid, is an authentic expression of the region's viticulture. This crianza red wine is a creation of the 4 Monos winery, known for its philosophy of working in harmony with nature and its focus on biodynamics.
Winemaking
4 Monos Cien Lanzas is composed mainly of Garnacha, complemented with small additions of Cariñena and Garnacha Blanca. These varieties are grown in coarse, sandy granite soils, which gives the wine unique characteristics. The limited production of 5,200 bottles underlines its exclusivity.
The elaboration of this wine follows a meticulous process. The grapes, harvested by hand, are fermented with whole bunches of grapes and indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 13-14 months in used French oak barrels and foudres, which adds complexity and smoothness to the wine.
Taste
4 Monos Cien Lanzas is distinctive and balanced. It is characterised by its floral intensity, with ripe aromas that are not excessive. On the palate, it is more austere, with grainy tannins that reflect the influence of the granite soils.
