The red 2022 Salanques was produced with a blend of 70% Garnacha, 20% Cariñena and 10% Syrah that reflects the warm and dry year with 15% alcohol but keeping high acidity (6.3 grams). It fermented in stainless steel and oak vats and matured in new and used French barriques for 12 to 14 months. It's a classical modern Priorat with notes of wet slate, abundant spiciness and an earthy dustiness. It has oak flavors that need to integrate with some more time in bottle. 13,789 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2024.
