The ripe and heady 2015 Vd'O 1.15 is fully ripe at 15% alcohol, but it keeps the good freshness and acidity that Cariñena can have, even in warm and ripe years, with notes of tree bark and earth, spicy and meaty, a little oxidative and advanced, with abundant dusty tannins. It went through malolactic and 16 months in French barriques. 1,100 bottles and 50 magnums produced. It was bottled in June 2017.
