Mar de Frades Albariño is a wine that transports you directly to the Galician coast. If you close your eyes as you take a sip, you can almost feel the salty breeze of the Atlantic and hear the swaying of the waves.
Behind this Albariño is Mar de Frades, a winery that has managed to capture the essence of the sea in every bottle. Made with 100% Albariño grapes from Val do Salnés, this wine is born in granitic soils, where the vines grow facing the sea winds and absorbing the freshness of the environment.
Winemaking
Harvesting for Mar de Frades Albariño is manual, ensuring that only the best grapes reach the winery. Once there, a meticulous process begins: 92% of the bunches go through a selection, and part of them undergo a cold maceration with CO2 for 14 hours to extract their most elegant aromas. Then, fermentation with indigenous yeasts keeps the pure character of the grapes intact. For 5 months, the wine rests on its fine lees, which gives it that silky, enveloping texture that makes it so special.

The first thing that strikes you about Mar de Frades Albariño is its colour: a pale lemon with greenish reflections, as if capturing the morning light on a clear day. As you approach the glass, you are enveloped by a fresh, vibrant perfume: orange blossom, lime, conference pear and a subtle hint of eucalyptus.
