Description
Andréa Calek Blonde is an atypical natural wine, produced in the Ardèche region. This wine is made from a single grape variety, Viognier, grown in clay-limestone soils, known to provide excellent minerality.
Winemaking
Andréa Calek Blonde is made by direct pressing and fermentation with indigenous yeasts, without the addition of sulphites or other additives. The wine is aged in vats for a short period, preserving its freshness and fruity character. The bottle is sealed without fining or filtering, ensuring the purity of the wine.
Taste
Andréa Calek Blonde offers a unique sensory experience with a flavour profile that stands out for its freshness and complexity. It presents notes of fruit, such as peach, apricot and apple, accompanied by hints of citrus and a light aroma of elderflower and honey. This wine is reminiscent of a modern sour beer due to its pleasant acidity and fruity profile. The presence of brettanomyces adds an extra dimension, bringing complexity and a slightly wild character. It is an ideal wine to pair with well-dried goat cheeses, elevating the dining experience to a higher level.
