The 2006 “200 Monges” Seleccion Especial is a selection of the best Tempranillo used for 200 Monges first produced in 2004. It has a clean nose of mint chocolates, espresso coffee, cloves, nutmeg and (very) ripe black fruit, black cherries and cassis. The medium to full-bodied palate reveals better balance than its siblings, with good acidity and some gritty tannins compensated by plenty of juicy fruit. Drink now-2017.
