The 2022 Vijariego Blanco (or Verijadiego Blanco) has a low 11.1% alcohol, a low pH and high acidity, reflecting an early harvest in a warm year and a warm zone. It fermented and matured in 500-liter oak barrels for 10 months. This is a late-ripening variety, the last to be picked, and the grapes still achieved moderate alcohol (it's in a more shaded place). The wine has some austerity—it's a sharp variety—with a strict and neutral palate with faint aromas of white flowers. All the wines are clean and precise, and this is no exception. It should develop nicely in bottle. 1,320 bottles were filled in July 2023.

Description
The wine Tameran Vijariego Blanco was one of the first creations of the Bodega Tamerán winery, a wine made from Vijariego Blanco grapes grown in the volcanic soils of these vineyards.
Tamerán Vijariego Blanco is a very characteristic wine due to its mineral profile, which denotes elegance in every sip and expresses the uniqueness of the soils where the grapes were grown.
It is a white wine classified by experts as fresh, both in flavour and aromas, which manages to conquer even the most exquisite palates, thanks to the naturalness of its flavour and the fruit's own expression.
Elaboration
The production of Tamerán Vijariego Blanco begins with the cultivation of the fruit, using respectful agricultural techniques. This results in the harvesting of a concentrated grape with tropical inclinations, which derive from the large temperature variations.
The fruit is then subjected to a fermentation phase with native yeasts, with minimal intervention of the grape, so that the grapes can express themselves naturally.
To promote fermentation, 500-litre barrels are used, and it is here that the wine ages for 9 months on its own lees. After the vinification process, the wine is bottled.
Taste
Tamerán Vijariego Blanco has an intense straw colour, which is one of the particularities of this wine. It has a fragrant fruity aroma with saline touches. On the palate it denotes the freshness that characterises it and its accentuated acidity with a mineral finish.

Tamerán Vijariego Blanco is a wine with very marked flavours, which leave no room for doubt as to the terroir from which it comes. It is a wine that combines perfectly with seafood and white fish.
