Description
Charlot Tanneux Cuvée Elia Brut Premier Cru is a vintage Blanc de Blancs champagne from the Pierry 1er Cru parcel. This wine is made with the variety in a terroir where the soils are clay rich in siliceous stones that bring unique characteristics to the wine.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and meticulously selected in the vineyard. In the winery, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed to obtain the best must. The first fermentation with indigenous yeasts takes place spontaneously in neutral toasted French oak barrels. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation, but rests on the lees in the same barrels for approximately 11 months.
The wine is neither filtered nor clarified and then aged in the bottle on its own lees for the following 42 months. Disgorgement is carried out with a final dosage of 4 g/L (Extra Brut).
