Arienzo Crianza, created by the prestigious Marqués de Riscal winery, is a vibrant exponent of Rioja wines, faithful to the tradition and modernity that have characterised this house since its foundation in 1858. This vintage stands out for its production from the best Tempranillo grapes (sometimes accompanied by a touch of Graciano), grown in carefully selected vineyards in Laguardia and Elciego. The soils of these vineyards, characterised by their clay-limestone composition, provide a perfect base for a wine that fuses body and freshness.
Winemaking
The winemaking process begins with a rigorous harvest to ensure that only the best bunches are harvested. The grapes undergo alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, a method that ensures the purity of the fruit flavours. The 17-month ageing in American oak barrels gives Arienzo Crianza that distinctive touch of coconut and vanilla notes.
