Description
Danjou Banessy Supernova Blanc is a wine classified as Orange, made from the processing of 100% Muscat of Alexandria grapes from a plot over 70 years old.
This wine follows the philosophy of the winery from which it comes, ensuring that all stages of production are carried out using traditional techniques that allow the natural expression of the fruit.
It is defined by experts as a light white wine, thanks to its subtle flavour and texture, but capable of captivating palates looking for an authentic summer flavour.
Winemaking
The production of Banessy Supernova Blanc begins with the cultivation of Muscat of Alexandria grapes, using slate soils, known in viticulture as black earth or Les Terres Noires.
The techniques used in both planting and harvesting are called organic, as no chemical elements are used that could alter the natural ripening of the fruit.
After the grapes are harvested, they undergo fermentation with indigenous yeast, followed by 30 days of infusion of whole grapes and maceration of skins, without chaptalisation or acidification.
It is then aged for 10 to 12 months in oak barrels, and finally bottled by gravity, according to the lunar phase. This type of wine does not undergo filtering processes.
Taste
Banessy Supernova Blanc has a clean aroma with a tendency towards dryness, balanced with white flowers and herbaceous tones. In terms of taste, it is a dry wine with medium acidity and somewhat rough tannins.
