Description
At Bodega César Márquez, the wines are produced organically. Agriculture is carried out in a traditional way, respecting the environment and the cycles, with minimal intervention and avoiding the use of herbicides and chemical products.
This is how the best natural wines are obtained, such as the red wine El Rapolao, which is a very light and fresh wine that faithfully reflects the terroir, just as its creator wishes.
Winemaking
César Márquez El Rapolao wine is made from Mencía and Garnacha grapes, among other red grape varieties grown in clay soils of the El Rapolao plot, from which this red wine gets its name.
The grapes are harvested by hand and 40% of the whole bunches are fermented with indigenous yeasts in open barrels. Maceration takes between one month and 40 days. The wine is aged for a year in French oak barrels.
Taste
This dry red wine is organic and floral, with red berries and polished tannins. It is a fresh, expressive and elegant wine with herbal, smoky and spicy notes.
The César Márquez El Rapolao wine is deep and intense, with volume, and quite fleshy. In the glass it brings out different nuances.
