Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2020 Miguelito Jackson is a new blanc de noirs (or according to the label, a blan de nuar, the phonetical transcription into Spanish), produced with a combination of red and white grapes, including the Baboso Negro grapes from their John Stone plot. In reality, it's a blend of Baboso Negro, Listán Negro, Verijadiego Negro, Listán Blanco and Verijadiego Blanco grapes all fermented together. It has an expressive nose and a very elegant and fine palate with 13.05% alcohol and a pH of 3.03, which means the wine is electric and tasty with citrus freshness. It has a medium-bodied palate and pungent flavor but all in very good harmony. This fermented and matured in stainless steel. Serious and surprising. Only 500 bottles were filled in June 2021.
